Question/Comment:
I was started on this drug along with colchicine, and the side effects were horrible for me. I was told that I had gout, but my great toe had been effected by several surgeries to my back that failed. In fact after the back surgeries, I am now told I have failed back syndrome. I only took the two drugs along with furosemide for maybe two days and got a very serious skin rash. It looked as if I was burned!!! Liver function tests were performed and they were off the charts. I went to the doctor for the pain in my foot, and this is what I was given. Turns out my back had gotten worse, scar tissue and spinal stenosis were the cause of the foot pain. The rash continued over a week even after the medications were stopped. Make sure the proper test are performed before you take a doctor's word and start a new medication. Doctors are human too and often times make mistakes.
