Answer/Reply:
inject the insulin more slowly and make sure you have all the air bubbles out. I noticed every time I have a bubble, or inject the lantus into my skin in a hurry, I also bruise. try different locations every time also

Question/Comment:
since having my son 7 years ago I have been taking lantus for my Type 1 diabetes and it has been AMAZING! My sugars have been in better control throughout the day and I love the fact that I only have to take 1 shot of this a day vs 2 with NPH. Something I've noticed lately is that I can taste the medication 5-10 minutes after injecting, and my husand says that he can smell it on my breath. Oddly, this is a new side effect for me, 6 years in the coming. Does anyone else have this issue? I would highly recommend anyone looking to switch from NPH to Lantus to do so. It has done great things for me and hopefully does for all who use it.

GIVE IT SOME TIME TO USE ,IT WILL DO BETTER FOR THAN HUMALOG

Answer/Reply:
humalog is short acting insuline analoge before meals and lantus is long acting insuline analoge (24 hours), so you cannot compare the two. The one is not better than the other
