I didn't read the Pharmaceuticall print out until after I had been taking it for a while and was a bit disconcerted to read that it is used as a seizure medication and for Parkinson's. So my question was, "If I were to develop Parkinson's in the future, would my taking Mirapex for years prior to that negate the positive effect of the drug? I didn't feel that Requip was as good as Mirapex athough I am told it contains the same formula of sorts. Don't know if this is true of not.

I am taking Lexapro for depression and recently started taking Mirapex for Restless Leg Syndrome. In a matter of one week, I became so depressed. It felt like I was on no antidepressant at all. Does Mirapex cancel out what the Lexapro is doing?

46 year old Female

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:

Pramipexole and escitalopram tend to have additive side-effects rather than cancel each other out, although the timing you describe makes it quite possible that this could be the case for you.
