Question/Comment:

I've been on this drug since May. I am very pale and the doctor reduced the amount of asprin I take with it. I have noticed pains in my hands, and arms that are not like the ones I experienced prior to stents being inserted. They do not last, but come on and then subside. They are very painful when they occur. Are these a side effect?

II took plavix for five weeks. i immediately started having extreme fatigue. Within 3ddays Ihad severe constipation. I took myself off after five weeks. I began to get better. It has been six months, I am not back to normal, but I am much better. I wold rather die than to live like that. My internist agreed with me, but thevascular surgeon said it would not cause those symtoms. i do not agree. I am now seeing a homeopathic physician who is also an MD.We will see how that works out.

Question/Comment:

I had extreme diarrhea. My arms turned purple. My kidneys almost stopped making urine. I became very fatigued. My gums started bleeding when I brushed my teeth. I started to have shortness of breath worse.

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:

None of these symptoms are related to the Plavix. I have taken Plavix for over six years with
no side affects. Speak to your physician about the symptoms.

Question/Comment:

I had 3 heart attacks over a period of 3 years and a angiogram. After the last attack, my Cardiologist put me on Plavix. This was a year ago and to date, I have not experienced any side affects. The price of Plavix is considerably low, compared to what my life is worth! I feel much healthier, no chest pains and can walk 8 flights of stairs a day! Once you start taking Plavix it is for life. It is considered a life-lengthening drug. I take my tablet at night. For heart patients its very important to have a daily dose of Aldactone 25mg. I take two each morning.

just wondering if you have seen on the pc tht 23 cent miracle tht doctors do not want you to know about? it's called chelation therapy or edta or angioprim, check it out it's all over the pc n there are different pages all over the computer n looks to be a great product. i my sel have already had 10 stomach surgeries n 8 foot surgeries n now since june of last year had my first stent . and received 4 more n had a mild heart attack in february.n my stents two of them were blocked 75 percent n the other 50 percent so i had to have a triple heart by pass surgery n now recovering from it . and oh my god it is so damn painful n what they do to your body. n the pain well there is not a word to describe tht pain.n i was on like 5 to 7 different meds for my heart n now i am down to 5 n on aspirin.but on plavix n lipotor as well n they are not cheap n tht is why i went to the manufactuers . because you see i have no insurance. n i was able to get those for no cost to my self .so anyhow thought i would give some insight , i know every little bit helps if we could all pul together you think we might beat this thing ,huh? i do not know how to do tht but i just turned 47 yrs old n it is in my genes unfornately.so any questions contact me at lajennings45@yahoo.com oh n my name is laurie jennings

You stated in your comment that it is important for Heart patients to have a daily dose of Aldactone 25mg (are you a doctor?) cause not all Heart patients should take this.

It is autosugestion. With Placebo you would be better too.
All sick people should use own judgement and cross-reference prescribed drugs.
In many cases Doctors are agents for pharmaceutical industry and for them only profits counts.
Pharmaceutical industry is making fortunes on the misery of suffering people.
Most of those drugs you do take are poisons with no positive effect on your conditions and with a lot of side effects.
Many drugs You are taking are contaminated/crosscontaminated to start with.
I worked for 34 years in pharmaceutical industry.
"PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY IS ENEMY WITHIN".

The extraordinarily lucrative pharmaceutical industry has long been driven more by profit, power and policy then pills or concern to Health and Safety.

There is much moral posturing in an industry that is only too well aware, that it capitalizes on a captive market of the desperate and the afflicted.

Stephanie Saul of the NY Times reported today in an article entitled “Doctors and Drug Makers: A Move to End Cozy Ties” that the pharmaceutical industry spends $12 billion a year on marketing to doctors and that much of that money is in the form of free drug samples and lunches that have been calculated to have been around $2.5 billion a year. I wonder how much of these marketing costs are factored into the $800 million to $1.0 billion price tag associated with bringing a new drug to market? Go figure…..
