I am a 59 year old female. I also have this "problem". I would say it is sinus drainage to that side you lay on. Our sinus' don't drain properly when we sleep...........or so I have read.

I too have gotten slight nose bleeds from this medication. I thought it was probably from this, I had asked my pharmacist but she didnt know if it was a side effect or not. This make me feel a little better. Thanks.

Why do you suggest rinsing your mouth after using? I was not told to and I'm wondering what rinsing your mouth is supposed to do or prevent.
Thanks for listening.

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:
It is recommended to rinse your mouth after using fluticasone in order to rinse out any remaining fluticasone from your mouth. Rinsing minimizes the throat irritation, dry mouth, hoarseness and throat/mouth infection.

Question/Comment:
I love this allergy medication. I have had allergies all of my life, not just seasonal or hay fever. I am allegic to dust, grass, cats and dairy. I have tried just about everything and nothing works as good as this nasal spray. Of course, I use it more or less during certain times of the year. I range from once every few weeks to once a day.
