Make time to rest after taking it. It will make you sleepy.

Take medication as your doctor prescribes it. I take the medicine before bedtime - make sure you do NOT say up past one hour - as you will get very sleepy

It is very sedating until you get used to it.It does make you very tired.But it does help the muscles

Make sure you are totally aware of the effect this drug has on your body. Get to know your body while taking this med as you will need to guage when to take it as it could disrupt your daily activities. Make sure you know the side effects of this med. and if something you are feeling is normal. It can cause extreme fatigue and make you very sleepy so be sure that you have nothing planned that it could interfere with. DO NOT try and drive while taking this med. ALWAYS keep something handy to drink or something to keep your mouth moist as it has really helped to ruin my teeth!!!

For me, the drowsiness is a pretty heavy feeling and it didn't take long to feel the effects. You have to be prepared to sleep or rest fairly soon after taking Zanaflex.

Just to make sure that you tell the doctor exactly what your symptoms are to make sure that you are prescribed the correct dosage. It will not work properly if you are not given the correct dosage.
