Question/Comment:

It should be available for kids too

Answer/Reply:

They do make a liquid for children. I have given it to my son since he was about 18 months old to help him with the itchies he gets from his eczema. Check with a doctor first, especially for kids under the age of 6.

Question/Comment:

I would just say that it does work, but it doesn't last for very long. If you have mild symptons as I do, it works well enough not to need a prescription

Question/Comment:

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

My spouse is Japanese and gets an uneasy stomach and only can use half, if she types more, she gets sick. May i suggest starting out slow and build on as you go.

Question/Comment:

I will be discussing my concerns with my doctor on next visit. I'm unable to find details on Benadryl cream only other forms. We need more info up front of potential to cause melandoms.

Answer/Reply:

I'm the same person as in the above question, and I'm still seeking information from anyone who might have data on skin melanoma potentially caused by rubbing Benadryl Cream on their skin and then exposing that area to the sun. Hopefully, I've caught mine in time, but I'm worried about reoccurrences and for other people who might use the cream and end up in the same situation.

Question/Comment:

Benadryl relieves my itching, stuffy nose, watery eyes and also helps when I have insomia. I have not experienced any side effects and I have been using Benadyrl for years. I would reccommend it to anyone who does not have health concerns that prevent them from taking it. I swear by BENADRYL.

Question/Comment:

What are the risk factors for taking Benadryl while taking Levsinex? What are the side effects?

Question/Comment:

I have been taking prednisone 40mg for severe back pain( long back of history-2 surgeries) but could not tolerate the side effects. The dosage has been reduced to 20 mg and I am still experiencing side effects. The pharmacist suggested I take benadryl to lessen the side effects. It seems to work, but the burning in the diaphragm area still persists. I wanted to take ranitidine for this which has worked in the past. Can I take all 3: prednisone, benadryl and ranitidine safely?

67 year old Female

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:

There are no interactions between prednisone, benadryl and ranitidine identified in the iGuard database.

Answer/Reply:

I was a medical assistant and I can tell you that the steroids (prednisone) are terrible for your whole body. In a lot of patients it does take pain away, but the side effects in my opinion are not worth it. They also have perminate side effects if taken in high doses long term (death.) A lot of doc's are set in what they believe and you have to be demanding about what you want. You have to take responsibility for your health. Diet, exercise, nutrition and when visiting the doctor ask a lot of questions. If something doesn't feel right it's usually not. You know your body best and you must communicate with your doctor, he can't read your mind. At the same time he may not want to hear what you have to say and you need to make him listen or find a new doctor.
GOOD LUCK!

Question/Comment:

I am becoming frustrated with medications prescribed by different physicians. I have an auto-immune condition known as Sjorgren's. I am in remission from non-hodgkins lymphoma. This was extra nodule in the upper palate. I want thru chemo and radiation. This was three years ago. My rheumatologist put me on Plaquenil and said this would bolster the immune system. I have been experiencing numbness in the fingers and the bottom of my feet. My family physician has given me Lyrica (only been taking this less than 3 weeks.) In addition to these two medicines I take blood pressure and cholesterol medication. I really feel like the drugs are making me upset and afraid to take a simple headache or pain pill. Any suggestions would be appreciated

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:

Although medications have side-effects, and many can have interactions, the decision to use them should always be a judgement of benefit versus risk. If you have a bad headache, and there is a potential interaction between your drugs, as long as you know what to watch out for, the benefit of getting rid of the headache or runny nose might more than outweigh the risk. Just look up each drug on iGuard before you start it, and get a feel for how high the risk might be before talking to your doctor.

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:

Try Zeolite from a company called ZEO Health Ltd. www.zeohealth.com. The capsules are called Destroxin and the more economical powder form is called Zeolite Pure. It removes toxins and heavy metals from your body and balances the pH which doesnt allow foreign cells (cancer)to survive. Zeolite doesn't have any interactions with drugs and is safe and effective. Don't fall for any of those "liquid Zeolite" companies on the internet. It is nonsense and very expensive. I recommend the zeolite Pure powder from ZEO Health. At the dose for cancer, 1 teaspoon 3 times a day, the container lasts 30 days for $59.99. Now thats a bargain to take care of cancer!

Question/Comment:

I've been taking Zoloft (Sertaline) for 2 1/2 months for depression/anxiety...I just discovered that I've had OAS (Oral Allergy Syndrome) for the last several years -- which causes me to express severe allergy symptoms to most fresh fruits...when this occurs, in the past, I've taken Children's liquid Benadryl (about 1/2 tsp.) and then I'm fine pretty quickly (I was also given an epi-Pen last week). I'm wondering if it is still safe to take Benadryl with the Sertaline...it seems that the packaging and what I've been able to find on the WWW say that it is not safe to take both of these...any suggestions what to take in place of Benadryl? Thanks. (almost 65 year old Female)
