the side effects get better over time. I was very frustrated for the first 6 months but now don't experience the hot flashes and night sweats as frequently. I still have the bone pain and wish that I didn't have to deal with it but it is better than not doing anything against a recurrence.

Question/Comment:

you do what you have to do to get better. hot flashes, disrurted sleep and some forgetfulness with the being tired, is a small price to pay for your overall health, and it does get better. what really got me was when they took out my still functioning ovaries as part of my treatment. that was really unpleasant. way harder to deal with then the tamoxifen which i've been taking for 2 years now. but i will survive and so will you. hugs and prayers to all of you.

Question/Comment:

Be aware of the hot flashes you may experience and the hair and nail problems.

69 year old Female

Answer/Reply:

I'm painfully aware of the sudden hot flashes. However, a plus for me has been that my hair has grown. At first, my fingernails split, and broke off. Now, my fingernails look presentable. Perhaps they have grown because of the summertime. I've only been on the drug since last Dec. Symptoms will no doubt change. Perhaps.
