Question/Comment:
I have never had high blood pressure. My bp always is between 116/60 to 128/74. I am on this med because I have an irregular heart beat. recently I was under some great stress and my bp went up to 140/90. They put me on this med. I am concerned that I shouldn't be on it although it seems to help some. But it makes me tired and cold and I think that the worst of the anxiety is over and need to know if continuing on this med is a bad idea or not. I hope some one can tell me something along this line. Thank you for any help

Question/Comment:
I've been on this drug (Bisoprolol hydrochlorothiazide) since age 35 and now 9 years later, I can tell the difference whenever I forget to take it. It's controlled my BP very well and haven't had to adjust dosages for all that time. I would highly recommend it.

Was taken off Toprol xl and put on Bisoprolol, because my heart was beating weird. I have heart failure. What a relieve to be switched to this drug. Had an echo. My heart has inproved from 28% to 45%. I am also coming off xanax.....I do believe the xanax was causing my heart failure. Have switched over to valium and coming down.
