Question/Comment:

Baclofen definately helps the best (but yet not enough) for muscle spasticity better than any other medication including flexeril and soma. I take it with Gabapentin for RSDS/ CRPS so I am tired a great deal and end up taking a nap most days.

Question/Comment:

I HAVE A PAIN PUMP IN IT IS
DILAUDID 13.180 MG/DAY
BACLOFEN 329.49 UG/DAY
BUPIVICAINE 7.3222 MG/DAY
CLONIDINE 292088 UG/DAY

Plus taking all the med's for high blood pressure. I feel like the doctors are not watching me as close as they should. One doctor prescribes the med's the other the pump. Should I be concerned?

Question/Comment:

Has severe constipation been associated with baclofen therapy (ITB)?

55 year old Female – Source: iGuard United States

iGuard Answer/Reply:

Constipation has been reported in up to 6% of patients taking baclofen. The severity of the constipation can be dependent on the dose. If you are experiencing constipation, please follow up with your doctor for evaluation and treatment. You can make some changes to your diet to help with constipation - including increasing the amount of fluids you drink daily and slowly adding more fiber to your diet in the form of unprocessed wheat bran and breakfast cereals, whole-grain bread and brown rice, fresh fruits, dried fruits (such as prunes, apricots and figs), vegetables, and beans (such as navy, kidney and pinto beans). However, it is best to talk to your doctor to make sure these dietary changes are appropriate for you.

Question/Comment:

I take 100mg of Baclofen a day and without it I wouldn't be able to walk or move in the morning. It has been a God send for me!
