So far Zantac brand doesn't give me any problems because I take it when I needed. I am 66 years old female and I monitored what I take. Generic brand for Zantac is the cheapest and works the same.

Zantac is great, but after extensive use your body may in a way become immune and no longer have the same affect or not last as long, if this does happen, I recommend talking to your doctor about a perscription acid reducer called Aciphex, it works great for me, just one a day, and if the burning is real bad I may throw in a Zantac with it too.

Before ranitidine I thought I had angina at least some of the time. With ranitidine for GERD I almost never have what I thought might have been angina.
