Question/Comment:
I've been taking Vytorin for 3 years and it has made a dramatic change in lowering my LDL level. Before taking Vytorin I'd taken several types of other satins ( Zocor, Crestor, etc.) they never came close to really lowering my LDL's to the level of Vytorin. Now I understand from recent articles that Vytorin doesn't reduce current (old) plaque builtup in artries, but that Vitamin K2 ( Niaspan) does. I'll have to research this more. I also take Tricor for my Triglycerides it has reduced those reading levels dramaticly. They didn't seem to be affected by the other Satin drugs. I haven't had any issues with these two drugs todate.

Question/Comment:
I have been on Trilipix DR 135MG for 4 months, even though my cholestrol readings have all dropped to very normal levels using this drug I took myself off it.
During the last month I have been having hair loss and memory problems. I have been off the drug for about 3 weeks and still have these problems. I can only hope time will heal these side effects. Has anyone else had these problems?

iGuard Answer/Reply:
It is best to take Vytorin in the evening. There is no drug interaction between calcium or Vytorin listed in the iGuard system. However, it is a good practice to separate taking vitamins and minerals like calcium from other medications by at least one hour.
