What does it do?
This product is used in the treatment of nausea and vomiting, GERD, and gastroparesis. It works by stimulating the motility of the upper GI tract without increasing secretions, but its exact mechanism of action is unknown.

I take it for gastroperises (sp) from Diabetes. before meals and at bedtime. it is the only med for this problem my docs tell me. I have not yet had the invoulntary muscle movements but I don't have a choice. on it for several years now off and on. so far so good. But you want to take as little as you can.

I HAVE BEEN TAKING METOCLOPRAMIDE for about 2 months have not had any problems it was to treat IBS so for it has work for me woth no side effects

My dr. rx'd this med to me for nausea... what is everyone else taking it for???
I take one pill here and there, not every day. I also take a med that can cause all the same side effects, so how would one know which is which, or which one caused problems?

My husband was put on this medicine for GERDS. He was left on it for 4 1/2 months at which time he committed suicide with no warning. I had never known him in the 46 years we were married to have depression problem. I met another woman a few weeks ago that had the same thing happen to her husband.
I have reproted it to the FDA and I do hope I will be able to save someone else since it is too late for my family.

I have been on Metoclopramide for about 5 years now, it has been a wonderful little pill for myself. I have gastridis, where my food does not digest and it will cause me to get sick when I go to bed at night so I would never get any sleep. After being put on Reglan that has pretty much stopped 100 %. Only once in a blue moon do I still get sick and I lay that on me not taking my reglan like I am suppose to which is 30 minutes before I eat, but it only happens when I eat meat, which I am not suppose to eat, but when I take my reglan like I am suppose to, I am able to eat me a hamburger or steak. I love it, no side effects for me, praise God
