i have been on all kinds of different pain meds. where i have a broke back with rods and screws in it and the only thing that seems to help with my pain is the durgesic patches, 50mg i do sometimes get sick on them but sometimes i don't u wear the patch for 3 days and take it off and put another one on but that seems to help with my pain besides getting sick are they anything i can take with it from getting sick?

I am a 54 year old woman and have had the same reactions with the patch however I found after wearing it for awhile (several months) the feeling sick has gone away. I treated the symptons like pregnancy. I ate krackers and siped some sort of beverage like tea. I am now comfortable and love the relief from the pain with the patches. Good luck with yours and maybe try the above suggestion.

There are medications that are specifically used to treat nausea, and there are medications used to help with breakthrough pain. You need to discuss your symptoms and concerns with your physician. Together you can look at your medication history to see which options you still have available to you.

to prescripe an anti nausea drug, such as phenergrin or zofran. The phenergrin does have extreem drowsiness as a side affect, but the zofran does not. The nausea will abate as you get use to the drug.

I recently had knee surgery and was provided a "TENS" unit to help with pain relief. As long as I was on the Percocet I could use the TENS. Once I came off the Percocet, I began having alergic reactions to the adhesive on the electrode pads. Does Percocet have an antihistimine in it?

I was diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), also known as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). It is a chronic neurological pain disease that developed for me after a wrist and elbow injury. My doctor has prescribed oxycodone and he also wanted me to try neurontin, which gave me horrible side effects that i could not handle so i quit taking it. my doctor has mentioned weaning me off the oxycodone even though it helps with my pain. are there non-narcotics that compare?

An alternative to narcotics is tramadol, which has the brand name Ultram. It works well for pain and does not have an addiction potential. However, tramadol does interact with select drugs and does have some risks that need to be weighed against the benefits. Your doctor is the best person to help you decide whether tramadol is a good choice for you and to discuss the other available treatments.

I have been on morphine 60 mg x 3 daly and have a morphine pump in me and i take zydone 2 7.5 3 to 4 time a day for over 3 years for back pain. getting where they dont seam to help.hear latley i have been getting all mixed up on my pill that i forget even when i am in a lot of pain to take most of the time i cant tell any diffronts if i take them or not. they used to help a lot but not any longer i dont even seam to have any withdral. robert g. 67 years old male
