Question/Comment:
I started taking Zenchent 3 months ago, and have had TERRIBLE gas and stomach cramps. However, it's been wonderful at sorting out my heavy periods, and has reduced the heaviness of my bleeding.

Question/Comment:
I've been taking Necon now for 3 years and it has helped me have a lighter period and a normal one. I don't cramp as bad but I do think it has cause me to gain weight, I'm at the heaviest I've ever been, but it could be stress too, not sure.

Answer/Reply:
I have been on necon for about thirteen years, i love it. When i first started birth control i was informed there are some cases of gaining weight, i was 140 then and 110 now. I really believe it took off some of my weight and helped with keeping it off. My periods went from five days to three when i started necon.

Answer/Reply:
Are you taking the Necon as prescribed? Are you missing doses? Check with you physician to see if going on continuous (no placebo week) birth control therapy might work for you. As a young lady, I had extremely painful, paralizing periods before going on birth control. The pills did make the period 100% better. As I aged a bit more, I needed continuous birth control therapy to control the paralizing pains I felt with out the pill. No, I am not exaggerating. I was on birth control for well over 30 years.Yes, I know. However, without it, I would have had a horrible quality of life. Good luck and take good care of yourself.

Answer/Reply:
I have no more periods. I take my birth control continuously (skip the placibo week). I'm shocked you haven't heard that you can. Your body doesn't need to have a period when it is on the pill as there is no lining to expel, your body only experiences a period because of hormone withdraw. Surgery is drastic and unnecessary, you should ask your doctor. I'm on Necon 1/35, I'm very happy.
