Question/Comment:

have been taking Rebif since Feb of 2009, can't tell if it's actually slowing progression since I haven't had another mri, but it seems to have calmed the symptoms a bit; do have the flu like side effects

Answer/Reply:

I have been taking Rebif for 5+ yrs; have seen a dramatic difference to the better; has def slowed the progression but may take a while. The flu-like symptoms have never totally disappeared for me but have drastically decreased. Took Avonex 5 years prior to Rebif, Rebif is the drug for me.....majory difference! Hang in there and give it a chance : )

Answer/Reply:

I've been on Rebif for approx. five years, and in comparison to Avonex, this is my wonder drug. Before you take your shot take some Alieve, make sure the shot is at room temp for an hour or so and take it shortly before bed, so you feel less of the flu-like symptoms. I hope trying this method helps you out.

The rebiff side effects shouldn't last that long. i've been on rebiff for a couple of years for M.S. the flu symptoms only last about a month when i got to the full dose i believe it's 44mcs it useally goes from 12 to 22 then to 44

Answer/Reply:

Ive been on Rebif 44 for 3yrs and i didn't notice the numbness in my legs go away until about 2yrs into it. I was shocked and felt soooo happy/lucky. I also believe in being healed by my Lord and Savior Jesus. The flu like symptoms did go away for me after a few months of it. Just be sure not to inject into a vein cause that will over come you with chills, least per my experience with it.

Question/Comment:

I have been taking Rebiff since July 2007 - only 6 months - and was on Copaxone - and think this is working better for me!- - time will tell. I take it at betime and also try to go to sleep asap. . . the little nausea or redness at the injection site is easy to deal with compared to the alternative - - and does not happen with every injection - Naproxen (Aleeve) works better than others and I only take it if I need it.
