Question/Comment:

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:
Some of these symptoms may improve with a higher dose of digoxin. However, some of these effects are associated with digoxin toxicity, or too much digoxin. If you have not talked about your symptoms with your doctor, you need to make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible to check your digoxin levels and your other lab work, such as potassium. You should not change your dose without talking to your doctor first.
If you have already talked to your doctor and your doctor has directed you to increase your dose to 2 tablets per day, continue to monitor your symptoms and let your doctor know if they worsen or do not improve.

Question/Comment:
I have been taking Digoxin since I was in my 20's and so far so good. I have had no problems with it. Heart problems run High in my family on both sides, so I couldn't miss out. :(
My Grand Mother took it for a good part of her life and My mom takes it. We have all done ok with it. I suffer from ATRIAL FIB/TACHYCARDIA. I have been in the hospital several times in my life because of it. So now they have me on Digoxin & Metoprolol Tart and my Heart has been behaving nicely for several years. :) Prior to putting me on Metoprolol, they had me on Calan and I ended up having Bad side effects from it and it landed me in the Hospital. So that is when they put me on Metoprolol and I have been Great since. :)

I take my digoxin in the morning. Are you sure it wasnt any of the recently recalled brands. I would take it to your pharmacy and check. I know some had too much medication and some too little. You should check immediately. THere was just a recall three weeks ago but not all digoxin was recalled only a certain manufacturers. Please, please check

Answer/Reply:
I have never had this problem except for being a little tired. But I think that just comes with the heart condition I have and the medicine trying to slow it down a bit. I take my Digoxin in the morning before I have breakfast and it seams to work for me, but everyone is different. Just keep trying different things till you find what works for you. :)

Answer/Reply:
Digoxin made by Caraco have been recalled. The wrong dose may pose a risk of digoxin toxicity in persons with renal failure. Check with your pharmacy to find out if your brand has been recalled. I am a 62 year old female and have been on digoxin .0.125mg since 2005. I take one pill each morning with no side effects...Sincerely
