What do you take it for? Is it helping? I've taken it consistently for more than 6 years and for a couple of years a few years earlier. I take it for sleep and it may help some with my depression but I take 2 other medications specifically for that. I'd talk to your doctor about it.

Answer/Reply:
I have also taken trazadone for several years, but I only take it as needed because there are some unpleasant side affects: constipation, weight gain, waking up a bit drousy. I also snore like a bear (as I've been told) when I take trazadone at night. On the positive side.... Trazadone helps ease the muscle & joint pain that I suffer from.

Answer/Reply:
I've been on Trazadone for 24 years since a major head trauma and brain surgery. Since the surgery I've suffered with insomnia and tinnitis. My dosage is up to 300mg now. I had to go to an in-patient pain clinic and the doctors there told me that this medication helps with chronic headaches, muscle and joint pain, and also helps other meds work better. I've never thought about changing to other newer forms of anti-depressants since this one is a wonder drug for me. Before Trazadone, I was taking some others, but I found myself gaining weight because I was sleep eating. If taken daily you won't wake up groggy after about a month or if upping the dosage.

Question/Comment:
I have been taking 300 mg of Trazodone a day for 10 years now. I am being treated for depression, high blood pressure and bipolar disorder, with other perscriptions.** I have been having serious foot problems all of a sudden, with bad curculation and pai recently.**I don't know if anyone else has this problem. It also might be caused by all my medications mixed or because I also have a bulged disc which is damaging my back, side and leg. If someone else has these foot probblem without haveing other problems, please replay or email me at khaney46@yahoo.com. I am really conserned about all my health issues, and will be working to get them corrected soon. Thank You Ken

Answer/Reply:
I would definately say it is from your bulged disc. I have sciatica and now I have heel spurs because I was not walking right because of the back pain. Same way, I would not say it is the medication.

Im not a physician, but sometimes having a thyroid problem/disease (as I am familiar with) can put someone on an emotional rollar coaster & cause a lot of nasty symptoms...

Answer/Reply:
I too, have been having problems with my legs and feet. I've been taking Trazodone for about three months and I notice my feet and legs (especially my left leg and foot) has been really burning. I was told that I have a low form of diabetes, but I'm not sure that is the cause of it. I also am worried about what's going on. I am now going to another doctor to see if it's my medication or the diabetes that's causing all my problems.
I wish you all the luck on your problem.
