Question/Comment:

My mom was put on Cipro for a UTI. Was a total wonder drug! She was totally demented before she started and gradually cleared until she is back to her right mind after 5 days on it! Only sign of the UTI was the confusion and dementia. She denied any burning or pain with urination.

Question/Comment:

I have just added Cipro and Flagyl to my mix of meds to treat a bout of Diverticulitis/Colitis/UTI and it is causing a pretty crazy extreme grogginess in the evening with my evening meds, which include the grogginess inducing meds Topamax, Cymbalta and Seroquel ... Usually by this time of night the worst of the grogginess has worn off and I can be sure that if I say something it will end up making sense without me having to REALLY concentrate on it, but tonight ... ? Yeah... Hopefully this makes sense ...

Question/Comment:

I was in a horrible motorcycle accident and got a hardware infection in my lower leg. THe only way to monitor an infection is blood work and charting the sidrate (sp) and I forget the other thing that is charted. Was taking 750 mg twice a day for 8 months. I am off it right now and we will see if I get any signs of an infection. I didn't really have any problems with taking it, which I was surprised because I have done research and it is a horrible drug when it comes to tendon weakness. Which since my accident, I don't need any weakness anywhere. I have noticed that since i have been taken off of it, that my right leg seems to be stronger, but that could also be because i work the leg out and in 10 months, its suppose to get stronger. One can never tell
