Question/Comment:
I was advised by mu endocrinologist to take my calcium citrate at least 2 hours before or after taking my thyroid medication. To date, all my thyroid levels have been normal on my current dose of Synthroid.

Answer/Reply:
That's exactly what the printout from the drugstore advises. I have always spaced out my medications anyway. One thing most people don't realize is that you should always take your calcium supplement separately, three hours after or before taking other vitamins. I take my calcium citrate at lunch and again at dinner. I take a multi and a 500mg vitamin C three hours after I take my thyroid medication when I awake at 6:00 a.m. I've had no adverse issues because of this regime. I also take simivastin when I go to bed around 9:30 p.m.

Question/Comment:
I was low in Calcium and I water the Milk down since I don't want a lot of calories, this is good for me and I was only taking three of them and I was not taking them 100% so I went to five and this is part of why Melatonin works and now it works better, I am not into taking the drugs so I love how this works so well, and I am Leary of the drugs since I hear of the dangers of them more than Anti Vitamin people talking bad about Vitamins and how many have died taking the drugs, they help some so I am glad for them. When I was young I was told not to take drugs and now my doc wants me to take drugs, the difference is one can send you to jail. When the doc gives me drugs, I find a way to overcome any 'benefits', when I take Vitamins, its much harder to do this. Medicaid is paying for these ineffective drugs so I don't mind taking them much.

Question/Comment:
No apparent side-effects.
My nails are looking better than before. They do not split so much and since I started taking my vitamins, I feel better as well.
