Answer/Reply:

I have been using the combination for the last two years with no known ill effects. (72 yrs with copd)

Question/Comment:

I've been on QVAR for 3 years now. As stated earlier - you must thoroughly rinse your mouth - or brush your teeth immediately afterwards to prevent the development of thrush. I have had very good luck with QVAR and have found it to be much more effective than Advair - and with fewer side effects.

Question/Comment:

It'd be nice if there was a generic it's so pricey and works so-so

Question/Comment:

I'd like to know if QVAR is going to change their inhalers, like
Albuterol has(pro Air). Are they going to go green too?

Thank You

iGuard Answer/Reply:

The QVAR beclomethasone inhalers currently available in pharmacies are already "green" and contain the HFA propellant. There are no expected changes in these inhalers.

Question/Comment:

I have been using QVAR80 for 6 years. The medication works when taken as prescribed. Proper use has nearly eliminated the need to use my emergency inhaler (down to once or twice a week compared to 4-5 times a day before QVAR). I only encountered one side effect from QVAR useage. The medication can cause the development of thrush in the mouth, leaving a pasty white coating on the tongue. This condition is controlled by thoroughly rinsing with mouthwash immediately after using the QVAR.
