Question/Comment:
I was put on Metronidazole 200mg by my dentist within 6 mins of taking the tablet i went into Anaphylactic Shock my blood pressure went right down to 57 the paramedics said its the lowest they have ever recorded without someone being totally unconcious or dead, i was mins away from dying, very scary. I have had antibiotics before without any problems. Im just pleased to still be here

I was put on Metronidazole 375 mg/ 3 times a day three days ago (for a week long treatment for a bacterial infection).On the second day, I had slight dizziness, and diarrhea. On the third day, I have experienced some muscle aches in my legs, some menstrual like cramping in my stomach and very slight tightness in my chest.

It's me again, I started having more tightness in my chest (from taking Metronidazole). I called the doc. who prescribed it and reported this side effect. Apparently this is is strong type of antibiotic. I am going to follow up with the doc tomorrow to change to a different med. for this bacterial infection.

I have used Metro-Gel 1% for 6 years on my face for rosacea. It really works great on the bad acne that rosacea causes, sometimes reducing it in as little as 3 days for me. I haven't noticed any bad side effects from using this topical gel. It has given me back some pride in the way I look. I am very glad I was prescribed this medication.

I was on metronidazole due to gum infection i was taking 200mg 3 times a day. The side effects were horrible i had bad muscle pains all over my body a dry mouth and a constant headache. For 2 weeks i felt i had the flu even when i was took off the pills because of the side effects the muscle pain was still there for a few more weeks.

I have been taking metronidazole 500mg 3 times a day. It makes me very sick to my stomach and I also have been having bad muscle pain all over my body since taking this medication. I have since stop taking it even when my Dr. wants me to still take it for infection in my colon. I'm taking levaquin.

I was put on metronidazole 250 mg tablet for one week a month due to bacterial overgrowth but had to quit because of increased peripheral neuropathy pain.
I also was using halobetasol propionate cream.0.05 % for a severe rash (possibly from an allergic response to triamteren HCT, which I quit taking) but had to stop using the cream because of excess thirst and increased Sjogren-like symptoms.
