Answer/Reply:
I also take cholestral meds, diabetic meds, celexa and 2 blood pressure pills. I am wondering if this is what is causing my lowered blood platelet count.

Question/Comment:
I was taking one full dose of aspirin which is coated, but I heard too much is a bad thing so I ordered the 81mg and now I am taking one pill in the morning and one in the after with my drugs and the Vitamins, but my doc said I should not only take the lower dose, I thought it was for my heart, it was for the previous blood clot I had, but to me, no expert, that taking one twice a day and I know if I took too much aspirin would result in the doc giving me more RX. I know I am very overweight, I hate the word Obese, a medical fave, so I am doing as told, but want to have a safe tummy, my tummy would bother me if I took it without the coating since this was the case in the past with only one pill. I would love to have it edited so I can write the amount of Aspirin and how often. My doc thinks you must take it all in the morning and I don't agree, and I didn't get MD and yet I have to be watch the health too.

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:
Aspirin can potentially interact with lisinopril and may decrease your body's sensitivity to lisinopril - which could potentially increasing your blood pressure. It would be best to make an appointment with your physician to discuss the addition of the aspirin to your medication regimen and whether or not your lisinopril dose needs to be adjusted accordingly.

I take a baby aspirin daily 81mg and also 150 mg of zoloft. What is the risk of these two drugs tog/

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:
Taking aspirin and Zoloft together increases your risk of bleeding problems. Many patients use these two medications together without any problems. You are currently taking the lowest dose of aspirin daily which helps to lower your risk of bleeding problems. With that said, you should be extra watchful for excessive bleeding or bruising and immediately report any signs of bleeding to your physician, including pain, swelling, headache, dizziness, weakness, prolonged bleeding from cuts, nosebleeds, bleeding of gums from brushing, red or brown urine, or red or black stools.
