Question/Comment:

I have been on meclizine for 20 plus years. It works great to keep my vertigo at bay so I can live normal life. Don't know what i would do without it. Now if anyone know how to get the snap, crackle, pop brothers out of my ears I would love to know.

iGuard Answer/Reply:

Discuss your symptoms with your physician. Together you can explore the options available to you based on your medical history and current medications. Options range from antihistamines and decongestants to dry the fluid in the ears to tubes in the ears to drain it, if it is fluid causing your symptoms.

Question/Comment:

I started using Meclizine for my positional vertigo. It works great. But I also found,....it is GREAT for sleeping!

I take maybe a half...(or when I break it--the bigger half...so...13-18 mg)--of Meclize at 5:15 PM. Eat dinner at 6 PM...(So....it can be absorbed)- & by 10...10:30 PM...I am sleppy in a really nice way! I sleep the nite thru.,..(I suffer extreme anxiety)--& I take it w my 5 mg of Valium (Valium taken at 10 PM)---Gets me thru the nite! I do not take it EVERY nite! Then..I'd build up a tolerance! Just when I need a good nites sleep! Thank you Mecizine.....a simple antihistamine...been around a long time & works better & with LESS side effects than some of these new "tranquilizers"-!

Question/Comment:

I take this medication when I am lightheaded which does not happen very often at all but when it does I take (1) tablet and it works on me for up to 36 hours I can really sleep when i take this 25 mg tablet. It really does work good in getting rid of dizziness for sure Glad they created it. I have heard that it is the only medication on the market for dizziness .65 year old Female.

Question/Comment:

Taking meclizine for the sever vertigo I was experiencing was amazing. I only need it once a day if I'm going to go out of the house in the evening. I take one 25mg tablet at 6pm and I'm OK right up to when I return home and go to bed.
