I started taking acidophilis after someone told me about it for cold sores. I kinow it sounds funny but I feel it works. When I was younger I would get cold sores every few weeks, but since I started taking acidophilis, about 20 years ago, I have had only 2 cold sores in that time period. The reason she told me was that the cold sores had something to do with stomach problems and it works.

I have been taking acidophilus for nearly 3 years now. Drs. put me on it eversince I had my first Stomach surgery, I haven't had any more surgeries in almost 2 years now and I feel it is because of this medication, also I no longer get upset stomach easily as before the surgery. 54 yr. old female

I had a colonoscopy done which resulted in several medium sized pollups. There were removed with no cancer. But, my doctor advised I take Probiotics to help with any future pollups. It really has helped my digestive system.
