Question/Comment:
I have found this to be a good top up pain reliever when used between my slow release Dihydrocodiene. I am a 35 yr old female and have been taking these drugs and others for many years for chronic low back pain, coccyx pain & severe sciatica from prolapsed discs, one of which had to be operated on urgently and the other due to be injected soon. The only side affect i get is severe constipation but thats nothing compared to the pain.
Before taking Zapain i was taking Tylex, i got changed onto Zapain purely down to the cost of Tylex it seems to be a more expensive type of medication to be prescribed even though it does the same thing so if like me you have been changed over this is probably the reason why.

Question/Comment:
I took it and immediately had severe chest pains. I stopped and tried it a day later and sure enough it happened again so i stopped taking it and won't take it again.

Answer/Reply:
Like you I also make sure to consume extra fiber. Add to that Docusate Sodium and it really helps. Ask your pharmacist for an OTC, they are very affordable. My doctor originally prescribed it for me and a very helpful pharmacist pointed out the OTC which is the same except for packaging of course. I take a 100 mg each day.
