Question/Comment:

After a few months on Plavix, I started experiencing extreme pain in my hips and knees. I also experienced tingling and numbness in my hands and sometimes in my feet. Also bouts of nausea, bowel problems, dizziness and feeling faint. I had my wife to check online for possible side effects for all my medicines, and all the above were listed as side effects of Plavix. I asked my G.P. and he had me to stop taking Plavix for two weeks to see if the symptoms improved (which they did), but he had me to resume taking the medicine because my heart Doctor wanted me to take Plavix for eighteen months after having stents put in 8/07, because two stents overlapped.

Question/Comment:

my husband has been on Plavix, metoprolol, pravastatin, 325mg aspirin, fishoil and niacin since March 08 for a stent placed in his coronary artery. Two main issues are the cost of Plavix, and his memory loss since being on meds. He just turned 50, and we have no insurance to cover meds. What do you think about meds from Canada to reduce the cost, and memory loss?

Question/Comment:

I've been on this drug since May. I am very pale and the doctor reduced the amount of asprin I take with it. I have noticed pains in my hands, and arms that are not like the ones I experienced prior to stents being inserted. They do not last, but come on and then subside. They are very painful when they occur. Are these a side effect?
