Question/Comment:

My 8 year old son has had asthma since he was 18 months old. We've taken him to many physicians and tried pulmicort respules and advair MDI. None of which worked. How new is azmaort and has there been any studies in the pediatric popuation?

Answer/Reply from iGuard:

The safety and effectiveness of Azmacort has not been established in children under the age of 6. Since your son is 8 years old, you should read the Prescribing Information, specifically under the section "Pediatric Use". You can find the PI at http://www.rxabbott.com/pdf/azmacort.pdf

Question/Comment:

I am currently pregnant and using Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide cream and Hydrocortisone ointment 2.5%. I have been reading that there could be side affects. I was given this medication by doctor even after I told them I was pregnant.
I was assuming that this was safe cream/ointment to use.
I also take Zyrtec, Flovent inhaler and Singular for my asthma/allergies.

Question/Comment:

I use Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream 0.1%. Could not list it in my list of medications for IGuard. Are adverse reactions listed for the aerosol the same as for the cream? If not, what are the adverse reactions for the cream which I use as needed for facial skin irritations?
