I AM SUPPOSED TO BE TAKING THIS DRUG 2 TIMES A DAY AND 2 TABLETS EACH TIME. WHEN I DO I GET SLEEPY AND HAVE TO HAVE A REST IN THE AFTERNOON FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR. WHEN I CUT BACK TO 1 EACH TIME, TWICE A DAY, I AM NOT SO TIRED. IS THIS NORMAL

imfighting antipsychotic drugs for elderly.my husbaand died from metformin induced renal failure.not just the drs.but citizens and caregivers for their rlderly have a right to know of these dangers with antipsychotic drugs.fda does not recommend antipsychotic drugs for elderly with dementia/increase of death.

I've been a diabetic for more than 20 years and metformin has been prescibed with good results.But recently with my blood test on creatinine at 1.54 mg/dl my Dr. prescribed Actos ..I read that metformin is not good with kidney with this creatinine level..Pls any comment

just thought u should know that Actos can make you eat more that is a side affect of that drug. My husband had been taking it for about 10 years adn the doc just took him off of it cause of his weight problem.

I began taking Metformin in April 2008. I am on a number of other medications also. I have been having halliicunations since May 2008. I am not certain whether this is a drug reaction or whether I am having an adverse reaction from the other medications. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have been taking Metformin for about 2 years now and have never had any side affects like that, and am also on several other meds too. (no Hallicunations)
