Question/Comment:

Maxalt-mlt is a life saver when it comes to migraines...I usually take it and try to lay down for an hour and then the migraine is usually gone or just about gone - it is a great pill - yes, expensive - but worth it when it takes just an hour to kick in rather than put you down for the whole day with a migraine.

Question/Comment:

Maxalt is a life returner for me, too. But I get a really serious side of joint and muscle pain to the point that I move like a ninety year old woman. Yet, taking it is still preferable to going without because none of the others work for me and my migraines last 2 - 3 days and can show up as many times as 2 a week.

With Maxalt I have a life again, and let's face it after migraine pain - bad joint pain is a piece of cake!

Only a migraine sufferer can relate to this.

Question/Comment:

I take Maxalt occasionally and Cymbalta daily. These drugs can interact to cause serotonin syndrome which I'm told can be very, very bad. I've never had any problems in the past when I take both drugs but am wondering if this means I'm always going to be safe or if they could interact in the future.

Answer/Reply:

I'm hoping someone with knowledge responds to your inquiry. I take Maxalt and am considering going on to a Serotonin drug, myself. Cymbalta caused me lots of problems with bruising following shoulder surgery a few months ago and I quit using it. Now, I just had back surgery and I heard on the radio that Serotonin can help with bone density and I'm thinking it might serve a dual purpose for me by helping build new bone in my back.

Question/Comment:

This drug no matter how expensive is worth it's weight in gold. It has saved me so much pain in the last 3 months..I have had only one side effect and that was drowsiness, which you usually get with a migraine anyway. Thank you Maxalt, I have a life again, without as many tears..

Answer/Reply:

I agree completely! Maxalt has been a godsend in that is ALWAYS gets rid of my migraines. I am currently detoxing from Methadone (have been in a pain-control program for 2 1/2 yrs) and the headaches have been hitting me heavy. Maxalt has kept me functioning this week.

Question/Comment:

After taking 5 or 6 other prescriptions and 4 years later my doctor put me on this and Topamax and all I have to say is Maxalt is a life saver for me!! I have cronic migranes and would get the Migranes where the only thing that would help would be to go to sleep and not wake up till the next day or go get a shot of Demeral and then go to bed. After having a migrane for a month on and off with only 1 or 2 days of reliefe he gave me this and I have never been so happy in my life!

The only side effect I have found with it is I get this weird like tingling sensation in my head when it starts to kick in but after about 10 minutes it is gone and I believe it is just the Maxalt mixing with my other meds!
