Question/Comment:
When I first started taking Lunesta it wouldn't take but maybe 15 minutes to get ready for bedtime; now it takes about 45 min to an hour. I do experience memory loss and have a hard time remembering things, especially if my husband asks a question or tries to make plans. I have no idea if this is normal or not.

Answer/Reply:
I noticed an awful taste everytime I take Lunesta. At first when I took it in 15 minutes I feel asleep. Now it takes an hour to fall asleep. No mmory loss though. But I am really drowsey when I wake up. The same thing happen when I tried Ambien CR. Now I take Clonidine and that work perfect.

I also noticed a horriable taste after taking lunesta. A friend recommended I take it with orange juice, bad taste went away.

Question/Comment:
When I first started taking Lunesta, I slept great but had the metallic taste. After a few months of occasional use, I started having problems with waking after a few hours and feeling very anxious. I couldn't go back to sleep and ended up being both tired and anxious the next day - it was terrible! So, I had to stop taking it. I went back to my previous drug, Restoril, which works better for me but takes 2-3 hours to kick in, so I have to plan for it.

Question/Comment:
Lunesta has worked well for me as I don't have that "hung over" feeling as I did using other sleep meds. However, I have noticed a distinctive salty taste has developed. Has anyone else had this issue?

Question/Comment:
I need to know if Lunesta has a history of causing allergic reactions. Since I've started taking it, I have hives over about 75% of my body.

This is in the wrong place, but I had trouble with Paxil, too. Can't come off it all at once.
