Loratadine (Claritin) is commonly used for the treatment of the symptoms of nasal allergies and urticaria, which is also known as hives.

Question/Comment:

Marginally effective allergy medication. No match for Allegra; but my insurance makes the decisions, not me or my doctor.

Not much relief or side effects. The benefits are recognizable only when I stop it for a few days, and even then I'm not sure that it isn't just my imagination.

Available from Sam's Club and other similar stores over the counter in a generic form for minimal cost, < $7/month.
