Question/Comment:

I take amitriptyline about 2 hours before bedtime. I am sleeping through the night for the first time in years. I am a little concerned to find out from iguard that it may worsen my thyroid problems. Since I started taking amitriptyline I have needed 25% LESS of my levothroxine, which sounds like an improvement to me.

Question/Comment:

I am taking 25 mg, and it is great. At first I felt drowsy and tired the next day, but now thst it has been over a year and a half, I don't feel a thing. All I know is I'm sleeping through the whole night without waking up! Which is AWESOME! It's worth the wait! If you are to drowsy, ask your doctor about a decrease in dosage.
