Question/Comment:

I just had a CT Scan (for Sinus) and now I am expriencing some headaches and a mild nausea. Is it normal? . May be the doctor ordered the CT Scan of the head because for seven to nine months I was having blood in the mocus everyday. That was from November 08 to Jun 09. Now (Sept 23-09) I am feeling not bad because of Sinus and I had the Scan today. Thanks.

iGuard Answer/Reply:

Some people are sensitive to the dye that is sometimes used with a CT scan procedure. If dye was used during the procedure, your headache and nausea could be from that. If there is something else going on, the scan should show it.

If your headaches or nausea continue to bother you or get any worse, please follow up with your doctor for evaluation.

Question/Comment:

I have 8 sinus that need surgery. I am tired all the time. I can't take anymore antibiotics since I have taken so many. As soon as I stopped the pain, tireness, etc came back. I went to a doctor in my area but they want to do a 3 hour surgery and then they plug your nasal passages. It is supposed to be very painful, and it is an in-out surgery. So I called a doctor in Stanford who does micro-surgery. Has anyone had this kind of surgery? I sure would like some kind of info on the micro surgery, if anyone has had it. Thanks

Question/Comment:

I have had a problem with sinus congestion since I was about 6 yoa. I've tried Vix inhalers to start till I became addicted to them at 7. I've had allergy test & found I'm allergic to atmospheric changes, great fun. Last year my doctor suggested I try Dr Neils nasal wash (just fine salt & baking soda mix). At first I thought I was going to drown but I didn't. Sometimes LOTS of green gunk & slime comes out. I'vd not had an issue with my sinuses for the past year. Everytime I feel anything in my sinuses I do the flush sometimes 2-4 times in one day. The past 3 weeks I've had 3 children & a husband down with a bad flu/cold & I've not caught it, just increased my flushes. For the tickle in my throat from sinus drip I use Slippery Elm throat lozanges & it's gone!
