iGuard.org Answer/Reply:

A good idea would be for your husband to be evaluated by a physician. If there is a dementia issue, there are medications that can help. Aricept and Exelon are two agents used for mild dementia. In addition, to ease your husband's mind, perhaps his mother can see a doctor as well. She may benefit from a medication, or maybe she needs more supervised housing.

Question/Comment:

If I'm reading the map correctly it's stating that folks on the east coast are far more likely to have memory loss than folks on the west coast....why?

Answer/Reply:

I think this is because most of the population is located near the East Coast...

Question/Comment:

My mother age 87, has been taking risperdone since September. The voices and hallucinations were gone entirely. Now in the past 3 weeks they have come back with the same frequencies. She is taking 5mg in the morning and just bumped up to 10 mg at night. She is not sleeping well either. What is an acceptable dose?
