Question/Comment:

I'm having terrible stomach bloating and was told I have microscopic colitis. However I bloat immediately after eating and if I bend over the food comes up. I had an hiatial hernia operation years ago but am having some pain when I bend or twist and was wondering if my problem is related to this. I do not have the "runs" which is supposed to be associated with microscopic colitis.

For a $35 off coupon for Aciphex go to www.aciphex.com. They will send you up to six $35 coupons in a 12 month period. They also have a link on their site regarding assistance for those who need help with the cost of the medicine.

I use Medco Health Online to fill my prescriptions. They are soooo much less expensive that using local pharmacies and it can all be done online. My Aciphex through them is =$31.39 a month. They ship your medicine to you free and you get a 90 day supply instead of having to have the med refilled every 30 days. In addition, they will send you emails when it is time to refill your medication. The service they provide is excellent!!!!!

Question/Comment:

What causes a hiatel hernia? What can be done about it? My doctor said mine is very large, said he would not operate on it, prescribed Prevacid. Been taking Prevacid for a few years now. Recently lost my job & my insurance. Began taking OTC omeprazole. Noticed that I was smelling smells that no one else smelled. Stopped taking it and smells have decreased considerably. Has anyone else had this reaction to omeprazole?
