Question/Comment:

Is anyone taking nicotine patches? I recently had chest pain and found out that you should not cut down on cigarettes before you start taking them, If it is a patch for 1 pack then smoke one pack untill you use it. not 10 cigarettes. trust me it hurts.

Answer/Reply:

I don;t know about an old remedy to stop smoking however I plan to try a long approch.
I think if I take one cigarett away a week then I can ween myself off them slowly.

example; Start with a pack a day- 20 cigaretts the next week I will smoke 19 a day
the next week 18 and so on untill I BECOME A NON SMOKER. I think this would help
lesson the pain of withdrawl with out added expence. hope it's an option to consider. I hope it's
better than cold turkey. Good luck! you can do it1

Answer/Reply:

Oh those patchs! I am so allergic to the glue that they hurt and only last a short while. What's a girl to do! I have constant pain problems from 8 back surgeries, smoking seems to calm me and make it easier . I have no kids so I quess I'll just keep puffing away! Plus I like to smoke.
