Question/Comment:

Always take fiber 2-3 hours before or after taking medications if you are taking any. Also, I would strongly suggest a colon cleanse. It restores your digestive system back to normal.

Question/Comment:

As a result of taking methadone (for the treatment of opiate addiction) I stay constipated. Laxatives don't even help much. I've been on methadone for over a year & still have the problem. It's just a side effect of the drug.

Answer/Reply:

Try taking a fiber supplement (psyllium husks - can buy it anywhere cheap) with a big glass of water once or twice a day. It shouldn't interact with any drugs, but ask your doctor first, I guess. I do it for the same reasons, medicine that causes it, and one glass a day keeps me from having such a bad time with the bowels.
