Question/Comment:

What are the possible adverse reactions to using CartiaXT with Flecainide?

Answer/Reply from iGuard:

A specific drug interaction between CartiaXT and flecainide was not found in the iGuard system. However, there have been reports of negative effects on the heart when flecainide is used in combination with verapamil, which is a drug that works in the same way as CartiaXT.

If you are using CartiaXT and flecainide together, you may want to talk to your doctor about developing a monitoring plan for this potential interaction.

Answer/Reply:

In 2005 my doctor put me on Actos. A few months later I was diagnosed with Heart failure, which I blamed on the actos. I stopped the Actos and a few months later I went to the doctor and he said I no longer had heart failure, A few months later I develope Aatrial fibrilation. Just recently had to have a pacemaker. I blame all of it on the Actos and would neveer take it again.
