Question/Comment:
I've had irregular periods ever since I first started at 12yrs old. Usually they would come once ever 2-3 months and last about 8 days. And they are EXTREMELY painful. It got to the point where they were so bad that I couldn't walk, and would go into a severe sweat/ panic attack mode. Pain meds did nothing to help. I went on the pill when I was 15 to try and regulate it, but it didn't help. About 1 year ago I started the Depo shot. All it has done was over activate my period. You get the shot once every 3 months, and how it effected me was I would spot for the first week after getting the shot, then would be period free for the next 4 weeks, then I would get a period in week 6, then spot the rest of the time till my next shot. And now instead of SEVERE pain, I get normal period cramps EVERYDAY. I'm switching to seasonique at the end of the month, does anyone know if that is helpful?

Question/Comment:
I've always had regular periods. They come right on schedule every month. The first day is always light, then days 2 & 3 are extra heavy with some clotting. Day 4 and part of day 5 are regular and then the last part of day 5 and all of day 6 vary from light to spotting.
This month was the very first time my period has acted differently and it has me a little worried. I started on schedule and day 1 was light. Day 2 was heavy then went to light and by day 3 I was only spotting! My period was completely finished in 3 days!! I love it being over so quickly, but I am concerned because this is a first for me. Should I be worried enough to schedule an appointment with my doctor, or should I just see how the next few months go?
Thank you. Any advice or information you can share will be appreciated!

Question/Comment:
I believe you need to see a good OBGYN Doctor that believes in Bio-Identical Hormones it is match to your body hormones level and it is the greats thing in the world. I started it 3 months ago and my hot flash are now only during my period which is ok with me. My periods are lighter and much shorter all most back to what they were when I was in High School. I am 43 and the Hot flashes, skipping periods, 7 days to 14 days periods, heavy bleeding, and all that started when I turn 37. I wish someone told me about "BIO-IDENTICAL" back then. But you need to find you a doctor doesn't really need to be a OBGYN that will do a Saliva test (that the best way to find where your hormones levels are.) which is done 19 to 20 days after the first day of your last period. Then you will send the test off and in about 1 week you will get your results and then you can get the creams that will help you with the symptoms you are having. It is at least worth talking to your doctor about.

Question/Comment:
I started having heavy, heavy, extremely long periods about 6-8 months ago & for about 6 months now a dull ache on my left side. My periods last 9-13 days & I see alot of clots. Doing, paps, biopsies, ultrasounds to discover what is wrong. I know I am doing a hysterectomy but need to see if ovary is messed up or not 1st. I am 38 & had my tubes tied so losing my uterus won't be a big deal, I am done having kids. I would recommend a hysterectomy to anyone not wanting kids/more kids if having these problems & your Dr. will do it.
