iGuard.org Answer/Reply:
Moderating your food intake, making healthy, balanced nutritional choices along with increasing your exercise or physical activity each week is the critical foundation for any weight management. There are oral medications which can assist in the short term for weight loss, however there could be significant side effects and their effect is typically temporary if the lifestyle changes are not adopted along with the medication.
You could also ask your doctor about switching to a different antidepressant - although most antidepressants cause weight gain, you may want to see if a different medication works better for your depression so that it is easier for you to feel motivated to make the lifestyle changes to help you lose weight. You should discuss your options and concerns with your doctor.

iGuard.org Answer/Reply:
Resveratol is a supplement that is not regulated by the FDA. This means that its effectiveness and safety has not been established. Resveratrol is thought to be one of the beneficial ingredients contained in red wine. More research needs to be done to see if the benefits of resveratrol are true. Even supplements can cause side effects and drug interactions, make sure you talk to your physicians before starting new supplements or vitamins.
