Safety Alert: Ibuprofen
Recall of Single Lot of MHL Labeled Ibuprofen 200 mg Tablets
Magno Humphries, Inc has voluntarily recalled a single lot of ibuprofen 200 mg tablets packaged in bottles of 100 tablets. The bottles were available for over-the-counter purchase in Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Texas. The bottles are labeled "MHL Ibuprofen 200 mg Pain Reliever/Fever Reducer Advanced Formula Pain Medication." These tablets have a lot number 337666 and expiration date March 2010. These tablets are being recalled because the containers were not sealed properly.

What does this mean?
iGuard is currently monitoring safety alerts for ibuprofen (also sold as Advil or Motrin). If you have bought generic ibuprofen from a pharmacy or retail store, look at your bottle of ibuprofen to see if your ibuprofen is labeled "MHL Ibuprofen 200 mg Pain Reliever/Fever Reducer Advanced Formula Pain Medication"and has the lot number 337666 printed on it. If you think your bottle of ibuprofen is involved in the recall, you should return it to your pharmacy or the store where you purchased it to examine and possibly exchange. If you are not sure who has made your ibuprofen, or cannot find a "lot" number, please take your container to your pharmacy or the store where you purchased it for them to check as soon as possible.
